About Maya

Why I work with first-time buyers

I moved to Calgary for university and rented in the Beltline for years before buying my first condo across the river in Bridgeland. That purchase taught me how much of buying a home is paperwork that nobody explains.

Today I focus on people buying their first place. Most of my clients are buying a condo or a townhome, often on their own, and often while working full time. I keep the process organized, I explain the why behind each step, and I never push anyone to write an offer before they are ready.

How I work

  • A first meeting to understand your budget, timing and must haves
  • A shortlist of neighbourhoods and buildings that fit
  • A careful read of condo documents before conditions come off
  • Regular updates by text or email, whichever you prefer

Credentials and brokerage

I am licensed in Alberta and work with Prairie Lantern Realty, a small independent brokerage in downtown Calgary. As a newer agent I have the time to give each client real attention, and the backing of a brokerage team that has seen just about every kind of transaction.

Outside of real estate

You will find me on the Bow River pathway most mornings, at the Inglewood farmers market on weekends, and trying every new coffee shop on 17th Avenue.

Let’s find your first place

Tell me what you are looking for and I will put together a short list of buildings worth seeing.
